It’s that time of year again, where the WA music industry and music fans come together to celebrate the best in WA music with the WAMi Festival. And it’s also that time of year when the alumni of WA’s rich musical heritage come together for the annual Music Industry Reunion to share tales and celebrate their craft. This year witness legends inducted into the WAM Hall Of Fame and celebrate a special presentation of WA singer songwriters performing a great night of music in the front lounge of the Charles in an unplugged and intimate atmosphere.The past Music Industry Reunion Nights have brought the industry together at Metro City, The Bakery and the Charles Hotel. With the music industry spanning back more than five decades in Perth, it’s easy to underestimate the number of musicians and music industry workers active in this fine state. It’s no secret, however, the outstanding talent that continually emerges from the West.
While the MIRC club is a social club for WA’s music industry – past and present – it’s also a charity fundraiser, supporting the further development of the music industry.
The MIRC Sundowner takes place on Friday, May 25, at the Charles Hotel Front Lounge from 6pm with performances courtesy of some truly iconic WA acts.
