Pete Hardinge is calling on all performers
A brand new night for performers is starting on July 6th at The Roleystone Country Club.
Every Wednesday night there will be a host of performers from all forms of artistry, including Orchestras, Dancers and Comedians, Master Musicians, Q&A’s and more.
The nights consist of 20 minutes for each act from approximately 7.30pm till 9:30pm, followed by a 1 hour set by a feature artist to finish off the night.
Someone new every week
Featured Artists – an hour of the fabulous Jane Germain and Ian Simpson.
Ian Simpson and Jane Germain represented Australia at the World Expo Shanghai in 2010 and have recently taken out the The Western Australian Country Music Open Group/Duo Awards for 2010.
Ian Simpson, winner of 6 Golden Guitars, an Aria Award with the band the Flying Emus, and is also 3 times Australian National Banjo Champion (and plays a mean Dobro too.)
Ian has recorded and toured with many leading Australian artists – such as the legendary Slim Dusty, Paul Kelly and Keith Urban.
Pete Stone, kicking up his heels on keyboards – ‘Jerry Lee Lewis’ style!
Guitar God, Graham Greene will be along for a Master Class with Q&A.
Graham Greene has come from an outback upbringing to stand among the most respected rock guitarists in the business. Founder of local 80s-90s legends Ice Tiger and winner of the 2008 Star Music Award (USA) for Best Rock Instrumental Artist. Currently also performing with Lady Zeppelin.
An endorsee with Ormsby Guitars and Mesa/Boogie Amplification, Graham will be performing a master class showcasing his instrumental tracks and his Signature Series guitars as well as sharing some of his thirty years’ experience as a professional musician.
Rounding off the month with a bit of bluesy slide playing from Mike De Velta.
Mike De Velta regularly performs as a solo artist expressing powerful bluesy vocals and incorporating harmonica (employed in a neck brace), 12 and 6 string guitars, lap steel, ukulele and a stomp box (basically a miked wooden box for a kick drum effect!). He has developed a solid reputation in the area for performing vibrant Delta and Texas style blues.
August acts are already being booked with the hope of securing a 15+ piece local Orchestra as well as local guitar master, Kim Bettenay.
Due to noise restrictions, loud rock bands are not feasable on a Wednesday night. However, all other forms of rock music and other acts are welcome.
This is a fantastic new arena for entertainment in the Roleystone, Armadale, Gosnells, Kelmscott area (or anywhere else in Perth), so get along and support the Performers Night at the Roleystone Country Club every Wednesday starting on July 6th. Only 10 minutes drive up the Brookton Hwy for a great night out, restaurant dining, beautiful night views, reasonable bar prices and some quality entertainment.
